The First IMSPQ

The First IMSPQ

The first IMSPQ in 2003 started with just seven national medical schools competing for the Prof A. Raman Challenge Trophy, established in honor of Malaysia's first Professor of Physiology. Since then, the IMSPQ has sparked significant interest throughout Asia and beyond. It has grown into a prominent global event in the medical field, attracting participants from 99 medical schools across 24 nations by the 16th IMSPQ in 2018.

Starting with the 12th IMSPQ in 2014, the event also introduced a Physiology Refresher course for accompanying academic staff, offering the latest updates on various physiological topics. Besides the exciting and intellectually challenging competition, the Physiology Quiz has become a valuable occasion for academic camaraderie and the exchange of ideas among students and staff.
