The Department of Physiology, in collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs and the Student Union, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, proudly hosted the 21st Inter-Medical School Physiology Quiz (IMSPQ 2025) from 16–18 July 2025 at the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University.

IMSPQ is an academic competition that provides a unique platform for medical students from around the world to showcase their knowledge in medical physiology. It also fosters international collaboration and cultural exchange among leading medical institutions. This year marks the first time that Thailand has had the honor of hosting this prestigious event.

A total of 70 teams from 14 countries participated in IMSPQ 2025, including teams from Thailand, Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Slovenia, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Of the 70 teams, 54 were international teams and 16 represented institutions from Thailand, with a total of 409 participants.

The competition consisted of two rounds:

• The Written/Qualifying Examination on 17 July 2025
• The Oral Quiz Round on 18 July 2025, for which the top 36 teams from the written round were selected based on average scores.

To promote international friendship and cultural appreciation, a Cultural Night was held on the evening of 17 July 2025, allowing student representatives to showcase traditional performances from their home countries in a celebratory and vibrant atmosphere.

Hosting IMSPQ 2025 has been a great honor for the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. The event not only promoted academic excellence and global friendship but also highlighted the strength and potential of Thai medical students on the international stage.
